Built-In Mixer and Contours

Inputs A and B are combo XLR-1/4-inch jacks; input B adds a mic/line switch and a Mic Boost button that adds 25 dB of gain. Input C is a stereo 3.5 mm aux for phones and players. Contour presets tailor the sound: Default for live music and playback, Dance for added low end, Floor Monitor for wedge use, Speech for vocal clarity on input B, and Ext Sub versions with an 80 Hz high-pass filter for use with a subwoofer such as the QSC KS112.

Setting Up the CP8

Mount the CP8 on a speaker stand using the 35 mm pole socket, or tilt it back as a floor monitor. Connect a microphone to input B and engage Mic Boost for dynamic mics, connect a mixer or instrument to input A, and plug a phone into input C. Choose a contour, set levels, and use the XLR mix output to link a second speaker.

What to Pair With the CP8

Pair the CP8 with a second CP8 for stereo, a QSC KS112 subwoofer for extra low end, a speaker stand, a padded cover, and quality XLR cables.
