Electro-Voice Evolve 50

The Electro-Voice Evolve 50 is a 1000-watt portable column PA system that delivers big, full-range sound for bands, DJs, presenters, and events in mid-size rooms. A 12-inch subwoofer and a column of eight 3.5-inch neodymium drivers reach 127 dB with deep bass down to 43 Hz, while a custom waveguide spreads sound across a wide 120-degree area. Magnet-assisted assembly, Bluetooth streaming, and QuickSmart app control make setup fast and simple.

Highlights

• 1000W system: 500W to the 12-inch sub, 500W to the column
• Eight 3.5-inch neodymium drivers with 120 x 40 degree coverage
• 43 Hz-20 kHz response and 127 dB max SPL
• Magnet-assisted pole with internal audio connections
• Mic/line combo inputs, RCA and 3.5 mm aux, XLR thru and mix outputs
• Bluetooth streaming and QuickSmart app control for up to 6 systems

Electro-Voice Evolve 50: Big Sound, Small Footprint

The Evolve 50 replaces bulky speakers on stands with a slim column and compact sub. The 40-degree asymmetrical vertical coverage aims sound at both seated and standing listeners, and the 120-degree horizontal coverage reaches across the room with consistent tone, so there are fewer hot spots near the stage and better clarity at the back.

QuickSmart DSP and App Control

EV’s single-knob QuickSmart DSP interface with LCD gives quick access to mode presets, 3-band EQ, sub level, and more right on the sub. The QuickSmart mobile app adds wireless control and monitoring for up to six Evolve 50 systems, with alerts during critical performance conditions.

Setting Up the Evolve 50

Slide the magnetically locking pole into the top of the subwoofer and place the column on the pole. Audio passes through the pole, so no cables run between sub and column. Connect a mixer, microphone, or instrument to the combo inputs or a phone via Bluetooth, choose a preset, and set your levels.

What to Pair With the Evolve 50

Pair the Evolve 50 with a compact mixer, vocal microphones, XLR cables, a second Evolve 50 for stereo or larger rooms, and the padded Evolve 50/50M subwoofer cover for transport.

Scale Up With Multiple Systems

Use the XLR thru output to link a second Evolve 50 for stereo sound or wider coverage, and manage both from the QuickSmart app. It’s a flexible way to grow from small gatherings to larger events with the same gear.

Portable by Design

The column and pole pack into the included carrying bag, and the sub has integrated handles, so one person can transport and set up the entire system. It’s ideal for mobile DJs and bands that load in quickly.
