Electro-Voice Everse 8

The Electro-Voice EVERSE 8 is a weatherized, battery-powered PA speaker for musicians, mobile DJs, and rental houses that need professional sound anywhere. A replaceable battery provides more than 6 hours at maximum output.

Electro-Voice EVERSE 8: Pro Sound, No Outlet Required

The EVERSE 8 brings Electro-Voice sound quality to places where power is scarce: parks, patios, beaches, ceremonies, and street performances. Its replaceable battery runs for more than 6 hours of constant playback at maximum output or 12+ hours at a 95 dB average, and power-saving features extend run time when no signal is present. At 16.8 lb, it’s easy to carry anywhere.

Built-In Mixer and App Control

The built-in four-channel mixer, powered by Dynacord, includes two XLR-1/4-inch combo inputs (48 V phantom power on input 1, Hi-Z on input 2), a 3.5 mm aux input, and stereo Bluetooth. Onboard FX, EQ, automatic feedback suppression, and ducking make it a complete PA in one box. Use the QuickSmart DSP encoder on the speaker or the free QuickSmart Mobile app to adjust voicings, compression, EQ, and effects from anywhere in the room.

Setting Up the EVERSE 8

Charge the battery fully, then place the EVERSE 8 on a pole, stand, or subwoofer, or lay it on its side as a stage wedge. It also works as a kickback monitor. Connect a microphone or instrument, pair your phone for Bluetooth playback and app control, and choose a voicing. Power an Electro-Voice RE3 or R300 wireless receiver from the 12 V DC jack for a cable-free wireless mic setup.

What to Pair With the EVERSE 8

Pair the EVERSE 8 with a second EVERSE 8 for True Wireless Stereo, an Electro-Voice RE3 or R300 wireless microphone, a speaker stand, a spare battery for all-day events, and a padded carry bag.

Flexible Monitor Positions

The EVERSE 8’s 100 x 100 degree waveguide provides even coverage across all frequencies, and two additional monitor angles (30 and 55 degrees) let you set the right coverage whether the speaker is used as a floor wedge, a kickback monitor, or a main PA on a stand.

Built for the Outdoors

With an IP43 rating, the EVERSE 8 is protected against splashing water and debris, so a passing shower doesn’t end the gig. Combined with its battery power and light weight, that makes it a reliable choice for outdoor ceremonies, farmers’ markets, sports events, and anywhere else a traditional PA would be impractical.
