Product Details

The Yamaha DM7 Compact (DM7C) is a 72-channel, single-bay digital mixing console that brings processing and workflow from Yamaha’s flagship Rivage PM series to a compact surface. A 12.1-inch and a 7-inch multitouch screen, 16 motorized faders, 16 analog inputs and outputs, 144×144 Dante, and an 18×18 USB interface deliver serious capability for live sound, theater, broadcast, worship, and corporate AV, with 96 kHz audio quality throughout.

  • 12.1-inch and 7-inch multitouch screens
  • 16 motorized faders (12 + 4)

Yamaha DM7 Compact: Flagship Power, Small Footprint

The DM7C combines the contemporary user interface of the Rivage PM series with tactile controls and a touch-and-turn knob, so the selected channel’s parameters are always clear and close at hand. Time-based metering, dynamics displays, fully customizable routing, and sequential patching make complex shows manageable.

Premium Processing

Channel dynamics with signal coloration, 64 assignable premium processing slots, 16 assignable Yamaha FX slots, and four inserts per channel give engineers studio-quality tools on every input. Effects draw on Yamaha’s REV and SPX heritage.

Setting Up the DM7C

Connect local sources to the 16 analog inputs, or add Yamaha Rio or Tio stage boxes over Dante for stage I/O. Patch outputs to your PA, monitors, and matrices, and connect USB to record or play back with Yamaha VST Rack or your DAW. Use the Assist functions to speed up setup and soundcheck.

What to Pair With the DM7C

Pair the DM7C with Yamaha Rio or Tio Dante stage boxes, the CTL-DM7 control expansion, a road case, Cat5e/Cat6 cable, and powered speakers and monitors.

Split Mode

Split Mode divides the surface into two independent sections, so a single engineer can mix front of house and monitors, or front of house and broadcast, at the same time.

Networking and Expansion

144×144 Dante connects stage boxes, recording systems, and other consoles, a PY slot adds further I/O options, and an AES/EBU output feeds digital destinations. A built-in redundant power supply protects critical shows.

Recording and DAW Control

The 18×18 USB interface records and plays back multitrack audio, and DAW Remote turns the faders and controls into a hands-on controller for your workstation.

Add the CTL-DM7

For even faster workflow, the optional CTL-DM7 control expansion adds two faders, a programmable jog wheel, and four banks of 12 user-defined knobs, ideal for theater cues and broadcast. Metro also offers the DM7C-EX bundle with the CTL-DM7 included.

Building a DM7 System

A typical DM7C system pairs the console with one or more Yamaha Rio or Tio stage boxes on Dante, a recording computer on USB or Dante Virtual Soundcard, and iPad control for monitor mixing. Our team can design and configure the full network.
