JBL EON718S: Deep, Natural Bass

The EON718S produces smooth, articulate bass that fills the room without muddying the mix. Its birch plywood cabinet with Duraflex finish and metal grille stands up to the road, and two ergonomic handles make it easier to move and load.

Built-In DSP Control

A backlit color LCD gives quick access to parametric EQ, polarity inversion, and delay, so you can align the sub with your tops and tune the low end for any venue.

Setting Up the EON718S

Place the subwoofer on the floor near the front of the stage. Connect your mixer to the combo inputs, then use the XLR loop-thru outputs to feed your EON700 tops. Mount a top speaker on the sub with a pole in the threaded mount, and adjust level, polarity, and delay from the LCD.

What to Pair With the EON718S

Pair the EON718S with JBL EON712 or EON715 tops, a threaded speaker pole, XLR cables, and a padded subwoofer cover.

Configure Your Way

The built-in threaded pole mount makes it easy to mount a top directly above the sub, and the stackable cabinet design supports cardioid configurations that steer bass away from the stage, while also simplifying storage and transport.

Built to JBL Standards

Like every JBL speaker, the EON718S undergoes 100 hours of rigorous testing to ensure reliable performance in real-world conditions.

Subwoofer Placement Tips

Placing the sub on the floor near a wall or stage front reinforces bass, while corners add output but can sound boomy. Walk the room during soundcheck to find the smoothest response, and use delay to align the sub with tops placed further away.

Building an EON700 System

A pair of EON712 or EON715 tops with one or two EON718S subs creates a full-range PA for bands, DJs, and events, with every speaker controlled from the same intuitive interface.

Cardioid Sub Arrays

Stacking two EON718S subs with one reversed and delayed creates a cardioid array that reduces bass on stage while keeping it strong in the audience, a cleaner stage sound for performers and fewer complaints from neighbors.
