ADJ LINK: Hands-On Control Meets iPad Flexibility

App-based lighting control is powerful and easy to learn, but touchscreens alone can be awkward during a live show. LINK combines the best of both. The iPad app handles patching, programming, and visual layouts, while the hardware surface provides physical faders, buttons, and encoder wheels for fast, tactile control. During a show, you can run everything from the console, or undock the iPad and control the lights from anywhere in the venue.

LINK’s private Wi-Fi network operates independently of venue internet, so your lighting control isn’t affected by guest Wi-Fi traffic.

The console includes a master fader and eight control faders, 16 page playback buttons, eight rotary dials with push selection, a blackout button, 32 instant effect or scene buttons, eight bump buttons for momentary effects, and four rotary encoder wheels for controlling attributes like pan, tilt, color, and gobos. It’s enough hands-on control for busy nightclub shows and small productions.

Setting Up the ADJ LINK

Download the Airstream LINK app on a compatible iPad, connect to LINK’s private Wi-Fi network or connect with a USB adapter, then patch your fixtures. Connect your fixtures to the four DMX outputs using 5-pin DMX cables or adapters. Program scenes, chases, and effects in the app, then assign them to the console’s buttons and faders for live playback.

What to Pair With the ADJ LINK

You’ll need a compatible iPad and the free Airstream LINK app. Add 5-pin DMX cables or 5-to-3-pin adapters for your fixtures, DMX terminators, and a road case to protect the console. For a wired iPad connection with charging, add an Apple camera adapter.
