Chauvet DJ Freedom Flex Battery H9: Keep the Show Running

Battery-powered uplights are only as good as their batteries. Over years of use, any lithium-ion battery gradually loses capacity, and long events can outlast a single charge. A spare Freedom Flex Battery H9 lets you swap packs in seconds without tools, so your fixtures stay lit from cocktail hour to the last dance.

Easy to Swap

The tool-free design means there are no screws to remove and no downtime. Remove the depleted pack, insert a fresh one, and keep going. Keep a few charged spares in your kit for multi-day events or back-to-back bookings.

Using the Freedom Flex Battery H9

Power off the fixture, remove the installed battery pack, and slide the new pack into place until it seats. Charge the removed pack so it’s ready for the next swap. Follow Chauvet’s charging and storage guidance to maximize battery life, and store packs partially charged in a cool, dry place when not in use for long periods.

What to Pair With the Freedom Flex Battery H9

Pair the battery with Freedom Flex H9 fixtures, a charging solution for your packs, and a protective case to keep spares organized between events.

Caring for Lithium-Ion Batteries

Lithium-ion batteries last longest when they’re not stored fully depleted or left in extreme heat. Recharge after each event, avoid leaving packs in hot vehicles, and cycle spares periodically. These habits help your batteries deliver consistent run times for years.

Shipping and Handling

With 81 Wh of capacity and 9.24 g of lithium content, the pack falls under standard lithium-ion transport rules. If you fly with your gear, check airline policies for spare lithium batteries before your trip.

How Many Spares Do You Need?

A good rule for event companies is one spare battery for every few fixtures that run long events. For weddings and galas that run six hours or more at high brightness, having charged spares on hand means you can swap packs during a break instead of dimming fixtures to stretch run time. Label and rotate your packs so each one gets used and charged regularly.
