Radial Power-2: Clean Power and Light for Your Rack

Working in a dark venue makes it hard to see the controls and connections on rack gear. The Power-2’s slide-out LED tray illuminates your rack, with multicolor and dimming options to match the environment, while the conditioner protects equipment from surges and filters RF noise from the power line.

Protection You Can Trust

A premium MOV provides reliable surge suppression and long service life, and the high-rejection RF filter removes high-frequency noise and AM radio interference that can creep into audio systems through power lines.

Setting Up the Power-2

Mount the Power-2 at the top of your rack so the LED tray lights the gear below. Plug it into a grounded outlet, connect rack equipment to the rear outlets, use the spaced outlets for wall-wart adapters, and plug a laptop or device into the front outlet. Slide out the LED tray and set the color and brightness.

What to Pair With the Power-2

Pair the Power-2 with a rack case, rackmount mixers, wireless receivers and processors, short IEC power cables, and cable management accessories.

Ideal for Stage and Booth

The Power-2 is especially useful for DJ booths, monitor world, FOH racks, and wireless mic racks, where seeing settings in the dark speeds up changeovers and prevents mistakes.

Built Radial Tough

A heavy-duty steel chassis stands up to years of touring and permanent installation, with the same build quality as Radial’s direct boxes.

Power-2 vs. Power-1

The Power-1 offers 11 outlets (3 front, 8 rear) and USB charging without a light tray. The Power-2 trades two front outlets for the slide-out multicolor LED tray, ideal when visibility matters.

Why Power Conditioning Matters

RF interference from radio stations, lighting dimmers, and other equipment can enter audio systems through power lines and show up as hum or buzz. Filtering it at the source reduces noise in your mix, while surge protection guards against spikes that can shorten the life of expensive gear.

Safety Reminders

Plug the Power-2 into a properly grounded outlet, never defeat the ground pin, and avoid daisy-chaining power strips. After a major surge event, have the unit inspected, since surge suppressors can wear out over time.

Radial Power-2 FAQ

How many outlets does it have? Nine: one on the front and eight on the rear.

Can I dim the rack light? Yes. The LED tray has multicolor and dimming controls.
