Pioneer DJ DDJREV7

The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV7 is a professional, scratch-style two-channel controller for Serato DJ Pro that recreates the feel of a turntable and battle mixer setup. Seven-inch motorized jog wheels spin like real platters, on-jog displays show waveforms and artwork, and a layout modeled on PLX turntables and a DJM-S mixer makes it a serious tool for scratch and open-format DJs.

Highlights

• 7-inch motorized jog wheels with turntable-like rotational stability
• Selectable low or high torque and 33 1/3 or 45 rpm
• 3.5-inch on-jog LCD displays with waveform, virtual deck, and artwork modes
• Battle-style layout with horizontal tempo sliders and center performance pads
• Magvel crossfader, 8 hot cues, and Lever FX
• Serato DJ Pro with Pitch ‘n Time DJ included; Serato DVS available as an upgrade

Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV7: The Feel of Vinyl

For scratch DJs, nothing replaces the feel of a spinning platter. The DDJ-REV7’s motorized jog wheels rotate like turntables, with the same stability as a 12-inch record, so scratches, back-cues, and baby scratches feel natural. Adjustable torque and interchangeable slip sheets let you dial in the feel you prefer.

The on-jog displays show playback position, waveforms, and artwork right in the center of the platter, so you can keep your eyes on your hands instead of the laptop screen.

DDJ-REV7 Battle Layout

The layout mirrors a professional battle setup: horizontal tempo sliders at the top of each deck like PLX turntables, and performance pads and Lever FX in the mixer section like a DJM-S mixer. The Magvel crossfader delivers smooth, precise cuts for fast scratching, and eight hot cues per deck give plenty of creative options.

Setting Up the DDJ-REV7

Install Serato DJ Pro, connect the DDJ-REV7 to your computer over USB, and connect the master outputs to your speakers or a club system. Choose torque and speed settings, fit your preferred slip sheets, and start practicing. Add a Serato DVS license if you want to connect real turntables alongside the controller.

What to Pair With the DDJ-REV7

Pair the DDJ-REV7 with professional DJ headphones, a pair of powered monitors, a laptop stand, and a flight case to protect the motorized platters in transport. A dynamic microphone covers MC duties.

Why Motorized Platters Matter

Non-motorized jog wheels can be scratched on, but they don’t move on their own, so your hand has to do all the work. Motorized platters behave like real records: they spin under your hand, push back with torque, and let you use classic techniques like stops, backspins, and releases. For DJs moving to or from turntables, that familiar feel makes a huge difference.
