Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV5: Battle Layout, Creative Brain

The DDJ-REV5 places horizontal tempo faders above the decks and performance pads and lever FX beside the mixer, echoing a turntable-and-battle-mixer setup. The large jog wheels are textured like vinyl, and Jog Feel lets you set their weight to your style. The Magvel crossfader is built from durable metal for aggressive scratching and juggling, with curve and reverse controls on the front panel.

Stems and Creative Tools

Backlit Stems pads give instant access to vocals, drums, bass, and melody in Serato DJ Pro, or vocals, drums, and instruments in rekordbox, with individual volume and mute for live mashups. Piano Play maps cue points to the 16 pads like piano keys across three scales, and Combo Pad mode splits each deck’s pads into two performance modes. Auto BPM Transition automatically matches tempos over a set number of bars.

Setting Up the DDJ-REV5

Install Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox, connect the DDJ-REV5 to your computer over USB-C, and connect the XLR or RCA master outputs to your PA and the balanced booth output to a DJ monitor. Plug in microphones with individual level controls. A second USB-C port lets another DJ connect for smooth changeovers.

What to Pair With the DDJ-REV5

Pair the DDJ-REV5 with professional DJ headphones, powered monitors, a laptop stand, a dynamic microphone, and a padded case for transport.

Four Decks From Two Channels

Deck Move switches control between decks with one button, and Dual Deck lets you control both decks on one side at the same time, so you can layer acapellas, loops, and instrumentals across four decks without a larger controller. It’s a compact way to perform complex sets.

Built for Scratch and Open-Format DJs

Per-deck 3-band EQ, trim, multimode filters, three FX slots, and lever FX give detailed control over transitions, while the battle-style layout makes cuts and juggles feel natural. The DDJ-REV5 suits everything from battle routines to club and mobile sets.
