Gator G-PRO-3U-13: Road-Ready Rack Protection

Rackmount gear is often the most critical part of a system: wireless receivers, processors, and interfaces that the whole show depends on. The G-PRO-3U-13 protects that gear with a roto-molded polyethylene shell that resists impacts and keeps its shape in heat and cold. Gasketed front and rear lids seal out dust and moisture during transport.

The 13-inch rackable depth suits most signal processors, wireless receivers, and compact rack gear, while keeping the case lightweight and compact.

Built for Daily Use

Molded-in ergonomic side handles make the case comfortable to carry, recessed twist latches stay out of the way of bumps, and non-slip rubber feet keep it stable on stage. The improved stacking design locks cases together for safer transport and is backward compatible with first-generation G-Pro racks.

Using the G-PRO-3U-13

Mount your gear to the threaded front rails with rack screws, and use the rear rails to support deeper or heavier units. Leave the front and rear lids off during use for ventilation and cable access, and route cables neatly out the back. Before transport, replace both lids and secure the twist latches.

What to Pair With the G-PRO-3U-13

Pair the G-PRO-3U-13 with a rackmount power conditioner, wireless microphone receivers, a loudspeaker processor such as the dbx DriveRack PA2, rack screws, and short patch cables.

Choosing the Right Rack Depth

Rack depth is the distance from the front rails to the back of the case. Before buying, measure the depth of your deepest device, including connectors and cables at the rear. A 13-inch case like this one is ideal for processors, wireless receivers, and interfaces, while power amplifiers and larger equipment usually require deeper cases.

Roto-Molded vs. Wood Rack Cases

Traditional plywood ATA rack cases are strong but heavy, and they can warp or split if they get wet. Roto-molded polyethylene cases like the G-PRO-3U-13 are lighter, won’t rot or delaminate, and shrug off rain and spills. The molded shell also flexes slightly under impact, absorbing shocks that might crack a rigid case. For portable systems that load in and out several times a week, a molded rack is often the more practical choice.

Gator G-PRO-3U-13 FAQ

How much gear fits? Three rack spaces of standard 19-inch rack gear up to 13 inches deep.

Does it stack with older G-Pro cases? Yes. The stacking design is backward compatible with first-generation G-Pro racks.
