Electro-Voice ZLX-8P-G2: Big EV Sound in a Compact Box

The ZLX-8P-G2 uses EV’s Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) baffle design to align the woofer and driver for clear, consistent sound across the coverage area. At just 23.5 pounds, it’s easy to carry and set up as a main speaker, a stage monitor, or a compact PA for speech.

A Mixer Built In

The Dynacord-powered digital mixer adds effects, EQ, automatic feedback suppression, and a ducker that lowers music when someone speaks. Two combo inputs handle microphones, instruments, or a mixer, and Bluetooth streams music from your phone.

Setting Up the ZLX-8P-G2

Place the speaker on a stand, pole-mount it above a subwoofer, or lay it on its side as a monitor. Connect microphones or a mixer to the combo inputs, pair your phone over Bluetooth, and use the LCD or QuickSmart Mobile app to choose presets and adjust EQ and effects.

What to Pair With the ZLX-8P-G2

Pair the ZLX-8P-G2 with a second ZLX-8P-G2 for True Wireless Stereo, an EV ZLX-12BT or ELX200 subwoofer, a speaker stand, XLR cables, and a padded cover.

Bluetooth and App Control

Stream music wirelessly, pair two speakers for True Wireless Stereo, and control mixer, EQ, and effects from the QuickSmart Mobile app, so you can adjust the sound from anywhere in the room.

Flexible Positioning

Three positioning options let the ZLX-8P-G2 work on a pole or stand, as a floor monitor, or on a table or stage for speech and playback, giving you one speaker for many jobs.

Built for Everyday Use

A durable enclosure and EV’s proven engineering make the ZLX-8P-G2 a reliable choice for gigs, classrooms, and meeting rooms.

Feedback-Free Speech

Automatic feedback suppression finds and removes ringing frequencies, while the ducker automatically lowers background music when a presenter speaks. Together they make the ZLX-8P-G2 an easy choice for classrooms, conferences, and fitness studios where non-technical users run the sound.

Adding a Subwoofer

For dance music and live bands, pair the ZLX-8P-G2 with a powered subwoofer and engage a high-pass setting so the 8-inch woofer can focus on vocals and midrange. The result is more headroom, cleaner sound, and deeper bass from the whole system.
