Electro-Voice Evolve 50M

The Electro-Voice Evolve 50M is a 1000-watt portable column PA with an 8-channel digital mixer built in, giving bands, solo performers, DJs, and presenters a complete sound system without a separate mixer. It pairs the Evolve 50’s 12-inch subwoofer and eight-driver column, with 127 dB output and bass down to 43 Hz, with pro mic preamps, EQ, compression, 30 effects, Bluetooth streaming, and full control from the QuickSmart mobile app.

Highlights

• 1000W system: 500W to the 12-inch sub, 500W to the column
• Eight 3.5-inch neodymium drivers with 120 x 40 degree coverage
• 43 Hz-20 kHz response and 127 dB max SPL
• Built-in 8-channel digital mixer with phantom power
• Music, Live, Speech, and Club presets; 3-band EQ and compression
• 30 effects, Bluetooth streaming, and QuickSmart app control

Electro-Voice Evolve 50M: Leave the Mixer at Home

The Evolve 50M builds an eight-channel digital mixer right into the system, with professional preamps, phantom power for condenser mics, and independent gain on every channel. Choose from four presets for common applications, shape each channel with 3-band EQ and compression, and send to two effects engines with 30 effects including reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, and echo.

Wide, Even Coverage

A custom waveguide delivers 120 degrees of horizontal and 40 degrees of asymmetrical vertical coverage, so seated and standing audiences hear the same clear, balanced sound. The 12-inch subwoofer adds the low end needed for live bands and dance music.

Setting Up the Evolve 50M

Slide the two-piece aluminum pole into the subwoofer and set the column on top; audio passes through the pole, so no cables run between them. Connect microphones and instruments to the mixer, pair your phone over Bluetooth, and use the QuickSmart app or the onboard controls to set levels and add effects.

What to Pair With the Evolve 50M

Pair the Evolve 50M with vocal and instrument microphones, mic stands, XLR and instrument cables, a second Evolve 50 or 50M for larger rooms, and the padded Evolve 50/50M subwoofer cover.

Mix From Your Phone

The QuickSmart app gives wireless control of every mixer channel, effect, and EQ, so you can walk the room during soundcheck and adjust the mix from the audience’s perspective. It can also manage multiple Evolve systems at once.

Portable and Fast to Set Up

At under 58 pounds for the sub, column, and pole combined, the Evolve 50M is easy for one person to transport, and the column and pole pack into the included carrying bag. Assemble, plug in, and you’re ready to perform.

Evolve 50M vs. Evolve 50

Both share the same 12-inch sub, eight-driver column, 1000W amplifier, and 127 dB output. The Evolve 50M adds the 8-channel digital mixer with effects and app-based mixing, while the Evolve 50 has simpler inputs for use with an external mixer.
