dbx DriveRack PA2: Better Sound, Less Guesswork

Every room and speaker system sounds different, and tuning a PA by ear takes experience. The DriveRack PA2 automates much of the process. Its Setup Wizard walks you through configuring your speakers and amps, AutoEQ measures the room with a microphone and applies corrective EQ, and AFS identifies and notches out feedback frequencies so you can turn the system up with confidence.

Built-in limiters protect your speakers from damage, and crossovers send the right frequencies to subwoofers and tops for a cleaner, louder system.

DriveRack PA2 Processing

The PA2 includes graphic and parametric EQ, dbx compression and limiting, subharmonic synthesis for extra low end, input delay, and output alignment delay to time-align subs and tops. Control everything from the front panel or connect over Ethernet or USB and use the app on a tablet, phone, or computer to make changes from anywhere in the room.

Setting Up the DriveRack PA2

Connect your mixer’s main outputs to the PA2’s inputs and its outputs to your amplifiers or powered speakers. Run the Setup Wizard to select your speaker and amp configuration, then place an RTA microphone in the audience area and run AutoEQ. Finally, run AFS with the microphones on stage to suppress feedback before the show.
