DAS ACTION S218A

The DAS Audio ACTION-S218A is a powered dual 18-inch subwoofer that adds deep, powerful bass to any PA. Two specialty 18FW4 drivers with 3-inch double-layer voice coils and forced-convection cooling are driven by a 3200-watt peak Class-D amplifier, reaching 140 dB with response down to 35 Hz. Easy System Integration

Two combo inputs feed the sub, and two XLR thru outputs pass the signal to your tops with an optional 100 Hz high-pass filter, so full-range speakers are relieved of deep bass for cleaner mids. A variable low-pass filter from 63 to 100 Hz lets you dial in the crossover point for your system.

Setting Up the ACTION-S218A

Place the subwoofer on the floor near the front of the stage. Connect your mixer to the inputs, engage the high-pass filter, and connect the thru outputs to your tops. Choose LOUD for an even bass response or DEEP for a boost at 50 Hz, set the low-pass filter, and adjust level and polarity for the best blend with your tops.

Pair the ACTION-S218A with DAS ACTION-508A, -512A, -515A, or -525A powered speakers, XLR cables, powerCON cables for daisy-chaining power, and a dolly or wheel board for transport.
