The Dynacord L3600FD is a two-channel DSP power amplifier from Dynacord’s L Series, built for musicians, production companies, and venues that need serious power with professional speaker processing built in. It delivers 1700W per channel into 4 ohms and 3000W per channel into 2 ohms, with FIR Drive loudspeaker optimization, comprehensive DSP, and sophisticated protection circuitry, all engineered in Germany.

Highlights

1700W per channel at 4 ohms; 3000W per channel at 2 ohms (both channels driven)
6000W bridged at 4 ohms
Engineered for stable operation at 2 ohms
FIR Drive loudspeaker processing for optimized speaker performance
Per-channel PEQ, crossovers, limiters, and delay; channel grouping with GEQ
speakON outputs; control and monitoring of up to 16 amp channels via software

Dynacord L3600FD: Power and Processing in One Box

A traditional PA rack needs separate amplifiers, crossovers, EQs, and limiters. The L3600FD combines all of them. Its onboard DSP provides multi-band parametric EQ, crossovers, limiters, and delay on each channel, plus true channel grouping with extra PEQ, GEQ, and delay for each group. FIR Drive technology applies advanced loudspeaker optimization for clearer, more accurate sound from compatible speakers.

With 2-ohm stability, the L3600FD can drive multiple speakers per channel without strain, making it a cost-effective choice for subwoofer arrays and large passive systems.

Reliable Under Pressure

Dynacord designed the L Series for demanding live environments. A robust power supply, high-performance voltage handling, and sophisticated protection circuitry protect both the amplifier and the connected loudspeakers, keeping the show running in hot clubs, outdoor events, and sports venues.

Setting Up the L3600FD

Mount the L3600FD in a rack with adequate ventilation, connect your mixer or processor to its inputs, and connect speakers to the speakON outputs. Load the appropriate speaker preset or configure crossovers, EQ, and limiters in the control software over USB. Set gain structure carefully, then use channel groups to make system-wide adjustments during the show.

What to Pair With the L3600FD

Pair the L3600FD with passive loudspeakers and subwoofers, speakON speaker cables of the right gauge, a rack case with good airflow, and a power conditioner. Electro-Voice and Dynacord passive speakers are a natural match for its processing.

What Is FIR Drive?

FIR (finite impulse response) filters let a DSP correct a loudspeaker’s frequency and phase response at the same time, something traditional EQ can’t do. The result is tighter bass, clearer midrange, and better coherence between drivers. Built into the L3600FD, FIR Drive brings this advanced processing to touring and live systems without needing a separate loudspeaker processor.

Choosing Amplifier Power

A good rule of thumb is to choose an amplifier that can deliver more power than your speaker’s continuous rating, so you have headroom for peaks without clipping. The L3600FD’s high output at 4 and 2 ohms gives plenty of headroom for large passive tops and subwoofers, and its built-in limiters keep that power within safe limits for your speakers.

Dynacord L3600FD FAQ

Can it drive 2-ohm loads? Yes. The L3600FD is engineered for stable operation at 2 ohms.
