4.3-inch full-color touchscreen for setup, editing, and effects
Nine assignable sound pads across four banks for music and effects
Smartphone and USB call-in with mix-minus for remote guests
Records up to 13 tracks; USB-C audio interface and mass storage

Zoom PodTrak P8: Produce Your Show in Real Time

The P8 is designed to make a finished episode as you record. Each microphone channel has a dedicated fader, mute button, and processing, so you can balance hosts and guests on the fly. The touchscreen lets you apply tone, compression, and de-essing to each voice, and the nine sound pads trigger your intro, transitions, and sound effects at exactly the right moment.

With six headphone outputs, every person at the table hears the mix clearly, and each output has its own volume so everyone can listen at a comfortable level.

PodTrak P8 Remote Guests and Call-Ins

Bring in remote guests from a smartphone or a computer. The P8’s mix-minus feature sends the full conversation to callers without echoing their own voices back, so remote guests sound natural and everyone can talk freely. Phone and USB call-ins can be used together for shows with multiple remote participants.

Recording, Editing, and Interface Mode

The P8 records each input to its own track along with a stereo mix, up to 13 tracks at once, so you can fine-tune the episode later. Built-in editing tools let you trim, cut, and fade right on the touchscreen. Connect the P8 to a computer over USB-C and it becomes an audio interface for streaming or recording into your editing software, or a mass storage device for transferring files.

Building a Studio Around the PodTrak P8

A typical P8 studio pairs the recorder with matching dynamic microphones for each seat, boom arms or desk stands, and closed-back headphones. Add acoustic treatment to reduce room echo, and you have a professional studio that a volunteer or new producer can run with minimal training. The P8’s simple layout makes it a great choice for organizations where different people run the show each week.
