Shure BLX14: Wireless Freedom for Guitar and Bass

Plug the WA302 cable into your instrument and the BLX1 bodypack, clip the pack to your strap, and you’re free to move around the stage without tripping over cables. The BLX4 receiver sits on your amp or pedalboard area and connects to your amp or the PA.

Simple Setup With QuickScan

One-touch QuickScan finds a clean frequency in seconds, and group and channel buttons on the transmitter make matching quick. An LED display and indicators show settings, readiness, and audio signal strength.

Setting Up the BLX14

Install two AA batteries in the bodypack, power on the receiver, and run QuickScan. Match the transmitter’s group and channel, connect the WA302 cable to your instrument and the bodypack, and run a cable from the receiver’s 1/4-inch output to your amp or XLR output to the mixer.

What to Pair With the BLX14

Pair the BLX14 with rechargeable AA batteries, a guitar strap with a pocket or clip spot for the bodypack, a tuner pedal, and an instrument or XLR cable for the receiver.

Expandable System

The BLX1 bodypack also works with Shure lavalier, headset, earset, and instrument microphones, such as the CVL lavalier, SM31FH fitness headset, MX153 earset, and WB98H/C instrument mic, so the system can grow with your needs.

Durable, Lightweight Bodypack

The BLX1 offers an ergonomic design, an easy-access power switch, adjustable gain, and a TA4M input for a secure connection.

Where to Use It

The BLX14 is ideal for guitarists and bassists in bands, worship teams, cover groups, and small venues.

Tips for Reliable Wireless

Keep the receiver in line of sight with the bodypack and away from metal, Wi-Fi routers, and LED walls. Rescan with QuickScan at each new venue, and start every gig with fresh or fully charged batteries.

Getting the Best Tone

Set the bodypack gain so the receiver’s audio indicator lights on your loudest playing without clipping, then set your amp as usual. Using the receiver’s 1/4-inch output into your pedalboard keeps your effects chain intact.

Shure BLX14 FAQ
