Mackie Thump212: Big Power, Simple Operation

The Thump212 was redesigned from the ground up with beefier drivers and a 1400W Class-D amplifier for the loudest, best-sounding Thump yet. Its built-in two-channel mixer handles a microphone and a music source without a separate mixer, and the tough, impact-resistant polypropylene cabinet is built to survive years of gigs while staying light enough to carry.

Feedback Eliminator and Music Ducking

Press the Feedback Eliminator button to automatically reduce squeals and rumble when microphones get too close to the speaker. Press Music Ducking, and the music on channel 2 automatically turns down whenever you speak into the mic on channel 1, ideal for DJs, MCs, presenters, and fitness instructors making announcements.

Setting Up the Thump212

Mount the Thump212 on a speaker stand using the pole cup, or lay it on its side as a floor monitor using the built-in wedge angle. Connect a microphone to channel 1 and a mixer, instrument, or music player to channel 2 or its 3.5 mm aux input. Set gain on each channel, engage Feedback Eliminator for vocal use, and link a second speaker with the thru output.

What to Pair With the Thump212

Pair the Thump212 with a second Thump212 for stereo, the Mackie Thump18S or Thump115S subwoofer for extra low end, a speaker stand, a padded cover, and quality XLR cables.

Main Speaker or Monitor

The Thump212’s angled cabinet makes it equally useful as a main PA speaker on a stand or a stage wedge monitor for performers. That flexibility lets bands and venues buy one speaker model that can fill several roles, simplifying inventory and setup.

Why a 12-Inch Speaker?

A 12-inch powered speaker offers a strong balance of low-end punch, volume, and portability. It delivers fuller bass than a 10-inch model, so it can handle many gigs without a subwoofer, yet it stays lighter and easier to lift onto a stand than a 15-inch speaker.

Mackie Thump212 FAQ

Can I use it as a floor monitor? Yes. The angled cabinet provides an optimal monitor wedge angle.

How many inputs does it have? Two combo XLR-1/4-inch inputs, plus a 3.5 mm stereo aux input on channel 2.
